Buren Watch Company was established in 1898 and was initially focused on producing high quality pocket watches. In 1930, they developed one of the first automatic watches with a centrally mounted rotor. In 1966 Buren was acquired by the Hamilton Watch Company, but ultimately closed its doors in 1972.
